Privacy statement

Collection of personal data by Dutch Electro in accordance with European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR as from 25-05-2018)

Dutch Electro collects personal data of customers, suppliers and employees. The general goal of this data collection is to advise customers, send offers, manufacture and ship orders, design products, purchase components and to fulfil agreements of contracts.

As soon as customers, suppliers and employees make a legal commitment to Dutch Electro, they automatically agree with the collection of personal data by Dutch Electro for the afore mentioned purposes.

Only the strictly necessary personal data is stored digitally in our ERP system The ERP software runs on Dutch Electro servers or back-up systems, which are located at Dutch Electro premises. Also our website CMS system collects personal data which is hosted by an external website hosting company. For historical purposes the digitally collected personal data is archived for as long as our storage capacity permits.

Next to this aforementioned collection of personal data, our website uses Google Analytics, as a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage.

Besides the digital storage of personal data, Dutch Electro also stores personal data in a paper archive at our production site in Nuth, the Netherlands. The personal data is stored in our paper archive for 7 years after the creation date. After this period, the paper archive is eliminated by a destruction company.

Customers, suppliers and employees have (as far as possible) the right to know what specific personal data is collected. Under certain conditions parties are entitled to reduce, adjust or demand the removal of personal data. Customers, suppliers and employees can always withdraw the permission to collect personal data by Dutch Electro. Withdrawal of this permission can be done via e-mail, telephone call or a personal interview.

The GDPR does not alter the fact that Dutch Electro also has the obligation to comply with other legislation, such as the statutory retention period as required by for example the Dutch tax authorities.
